Automated gait trainer - Therapy at Prodrobot
Automated gait trainer - Therapy at Prodrobot
Apply for Prodrobot therapy classes if your child:
- does not walk independently, but controls the position of his or her head;
- takes steps to move from low to high positions, e.g., pulling up at equipment;
- stands independently or with assistance;
- initiates attempts to take the first steps;
- steps independently, but moves in an abnormal gait pattern;
- requires uprighting and initiation of movement;
- shows insufficient muscle strength in the lower extremities;
- rotates lower limbs inward;
- has other lower limb motor dysfunctions as a consequence of diseases, developmental disorders or congenital defects.
Before starting exercises in Prodrobot, we will conduct a detailed interview with you, the parent. We will ask about what the therapy has been like so far, whether the child is able to perform movements of the lower limbs independently, whether the child has been uprighted, whether there have been any attempts to start the child walking, as well as the current condition of the child's hips (X-ray required).
If we determine that there are no contraindications to starting therapy in Prodrobot, we begin rehabilitation classes. We begin each exercise with tissue preparation, i.e. pre-training the muscles for exercise, and then initiate the actual work with the trainer. Then the device goes through all or only selected programs, such as verticalization, swings, squats, cycling or stair climbing. We also individually set the range of motion, step length and speed of the exercise for each child.
For your child:
- we will analyze the functional capacity for gait function and upright maintenance based on our standardized testing tools and specialized gait analysis;
- we will develop an individualized motor development program using the Prodrobot;
- we will enable experience of maintaining upright, upright position;
- we will improve the ability to transfer to high positions, activate the muscles of the lower limbs to work, increase the mobility of peripheral joints;
- we will work on limb alternation and teach movement in correct linearity;
- through exercises, we will stabilize the skeletal, respiratory and circulatory systems, thus improving the work of all internal organs.
For you, the Parent:
- we will affect your comfort in caring for your child by increasing your child's stability in holding high positions and undertaking motor activities;
- we will activate your child's interest in the world around him/her by showing him/her the world from the perspective of the standing position, in order to facilitate your child's upright standing at home;
- we will give you the opportunity to observe your child in activities previously difficult for him/her to achieve.
