From the moment of birth, the child is an active explorer of the world around him through multisensory exploration of the environment. The infant is characterized by great curiosity about the surrounding space and the role of the parent is to skillfully stimulate it.

Premature birth causes numerous disruptions in the child's physiological maturation trajectory. Low birth weight and a shortened fetal life period affect less adaptability to changing environmental conditions. The sooner we undertake therapeutic activity, the greater the chance of the child obtaining the best possible quality patterns of its future movement.

The essence of the NDT Bobath concept is an interdisciplinary approach to solving problems that includes knowledge of physiotherapy, sensory integration, occupational therapy or speech therapy. The NDT method is constantly revised in accordance with the achievements of medical knowledge and the experience gained through work and observation of patients.

During rehabilitation classes, we use appropriate techniques of support and stimulation, so as to achieve not only a temporary improvement, but above all to maintain the effects in the future.

For your child:

  • we will make a global assessment of his development;
  • we will prepare an appropriate set of activities to stimulate him for further proper growth and overall development;
  • we will make a thorough diagnosis, taking into account all the skills of the little patient (his/her strengths) and the problems, difficulties and deficits with which he/she is struggling;
  • we will make sure that the therapy is as child-friendly as possible;
  • we are always smiling and positive, which makes children treat therapy as fun.

For you, the Parent:

  • we will present the principles of proper handling, i.e. care of the infant (picking up, putting down, changing, bathing, carrying positions and spending free time with the child), so that your care is at the same time an active developmental support;
  • we will provide information on how to conduct stimulating games and what to pay attention to when choosing equipment and gadgets for infants and toddlers;
  • we will prepare a plan for your child's improvement at home, as rehabilitation does not end once you leave the office;
  • we will develop tips and exercises that you should implement in your daily activities with your child;
  • we will consult on suggestions for the selection of appropriate equipment (wheelchair, seat, upright) as well as small orthotic supplies (orthoses for lower limbs, upper limbs, trunk).
