Feeding therapy has more than one name, as it is dedicated to both newborns and infants, as well as preschool and school-aged children. The most important function of food is proper nutrition and hydration of the body. Proper feeding technique for newborns, dietary expansion in infants, a varied diet in older children and, above all, the functions of biting, chewing and swallowing in appropriate patterns provides the basis for muscle stimulation and the development of proper articulation through the influence on: tongue, cheeks, gums, palate, mimic muscles. Their proper mutual work will affect the development of speech. Learning to eat a great exercise in coordinating breathing, biting, chewing, drinking and swallowing; it is also an important part of prelingual skills. The purpose of feeding therapy is not only to expand the selective diet, but also to improve the disturbed motor skills of the muscles involved in the function of eating and to build a positive relationship of the child with a variety of foods.

For your child:

  • we will perform the appropriate diagnostics;
